1. Who we are

The Coastal Bakes (“TCB”, “we”, “us”) is a bakery based in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. We bake cakes to order and sell baking accessories and packaging through this website. Our registered business name is Thecoastalbakes, and our contact details are at the end of this page.

2. Orders

• An order is placed when you complete checkout. It is confirmed once we accept it, and for online payments, once the payment has been received.
• Our cakes are baked fresh for each order. Please check the size, flavour, message and delivery details before you pay — we bake exactly what the order says.
• We may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, the delivery address is outside our service area, or the details given are incomplete. If we do, any payment you made is refunded in full.

3. Prices and payment

• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are shown on the product page and at checkout.
• You can pay online (UPI, cards, net banking or wallets through Razorpay) or, where offered, cash on delivery.
• Online payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or net banking credentials.
• We may change prices at any time. The price you see at checkout when you place the order is the price you pay.

4. Delivery

• We deliver within our service area in and around Mangalore. Delivery options and any delivery charge are shown at checkout.
• Someone must be available to receive the cake at the address and time chosen. Cakes are perishable; if no one can be reached after reasonable attempts, the order may be treated as delivered.
• Delivery times are estimates. Traffic, weather and festival-season demand can cause delays, and we will keep you informed if that happens.

5. Cancellations, refunds and quality

Because cakes are made to order, cancellations and refunds follow the rules set out in our Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these terms.

6. Allergens and dietary information

Our kitchen handles wheat, milk, eggs, nuts and other common allergens, and we cannot guarantee that any product is free of traces of them. If you or the person eating the cake has an allergy, tell us before you order. Photographs are for illustration; decoration, colour and finish may vary slightly because every cake is made by hand.

7. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for what is done through your account. Please give accurate contact and delivery details; we can only deliver and update you using what you give us.

8. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no attempts to interfere with its operation, access other people’s accounts, place fraudulent orders or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend accounts that do.

9. Intellectual property

The TCB name, logo, photographs, designs and text on this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written consent.

10. Limit of liability

We take care over every order, but to the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, or for indirect losses.

11. Privacy and complaints

How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. For any complaint, contact our Grievance Officer using the details at the end of this page.

12. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version, and orders are governed by the terms in force when they were placed. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mangalore, Karnataka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
